In this well performed lecture Dr. Harder (Munich) explains the advantages and disadvantages of digital tools from planning to execution of implant placements and the survival of implant supported restorations. A clinical case is used to exemplarily show the digital planning of implants in the upper jaw including an external sinus lift, how best to generate 3D splints and their respective use in vivo. The complications of digital dentistry and long term survival rates of implants and restorations are discussed.
