Prof. Zachrisson

Orthodontic treatment can play an important role in an aesthetic treatment concept. Professor Björn Zachrisson, University of Oslo/Norway, demonstrates the opportunities orthodontics offer for a aesthetically and biologically beautiful outcome.

Primarily Prof. Zachrisson talks about implant site development and the harmonization of gingival levels by orthodontic means both in vertical and horizontal terms.

Among the orthodontic means Prof. Zachrisson presents in this lecture are extrusion, intrusion, tooth transplantation or stripping and recontouring. He shares a lot of informations with the audience and shows a variety of cases to indicate how an orthodontist can make a contribution to the treatment. Prof. Zachrisson is profoundly convinced that orthodontic treatment is a rather fine alternative to surgical treatment like grafting or flaps.
